Yes, you can use your existing domain name with us; however, once the name servers with your domain name registrar have been updated it can take up to 72 hours for this information to filter through the Internet. What happens is that we submit this information to the master record database and it is available there within hours. However, each Internet Service Provider (ISP) does not use the master record every time they need to find a domain name. What the ISP’s do is copy the master record and update their own database of name server information. So when someone on their ISP looks for a domain name they are given the information in the ISP’s database, not the up-to-date master record database. The problem spawns from the fact that each ISP updates their database with the new information whenever they want to. Some do it every night, some every other day, and some up to every 3 days.

Prior to creating your site we will need to know your server specifications to ensure that the site we design for you will work or your server. After we have finished creating your site we will send you the files to upload to your server. Please note that we do NOT offer the free 24/7 technical support to clients that host anywhere other than CustomWebDesigns.biz or WP Engine.

No, we will not create anything before a purchase has been made. There must be an order placed and a down payment made before any design work can begin. With over two decades of experience, we have an extensive portfolio you can review for samples of what we are capable of.

Not at all. If you give us a general idea and some literature about your company, our graphic and web designers mockup a layout for you. It also helps if you provide examples of other website that you like and exactly what it is you like about them and we can use that information as well. Once a layout has been agreed upon we will modify that design until it looks exactly how you want it to.

If you already have a website, we can download your logo and other photos/graphics as well as the content and use all, some, or even none of those assets in the creation of your new website with us.

If you do not currently have a website, but want to use your existing print logo, have whoever designed your logo email it to us. If that’s not possible, scan and email it to us in the best quality possible. If you have access to the original electronic file used to create your logo that would be the best file to send us. Worst case scenario, we can have a logo created for you.

As for content other than your logo, you can email us your content. We can accept most file formats via email. We can also provide you with FTP access to upload very large files to us or you can use a service like Google Drive or iCloud to send larger files.

It depends on the size and the complexity of the site. The average is two weeks. Some sites take two days, while others can take two months, if not longer. The time of completion quite often depends on the time it takes for you to gather all of your content and on the time it takes to develop custom graphics and the custom layout as several edits could occur to ensure your complete satisfaction. No matter how large or small your site, you will get your first screenshots within 24 hours of your down payment.

Yes. When have your domain name and you get your hosting (preferably with WP Engine) we immediately put up a “Coming Soon” landing page on the live site and create a Staging area for the new site. If you already have a website, we skip the Coming Soon page and develop your site in a development area that can only be access by you and us.

You will be able to watch the website as it is being built so you can constantly provide us with the feedback necessary to create exactly what you want. Your complete satisfaction is very important to us. We will not accept your final payment until you are 100% satisfied.

Yes, you own it completely. All accounts needed for your website to work (i.e. hosting, domain name(s), SSL Certificates, etc.) are set up in your name. The actual files that makeup your site can be accessed and downloaded by you at ANY time after the website goes live.

Yes, you have full 24/7 access to your website. You can change whatever you would like to on your own. You can even use the WordPress App to remotely update your site on your smartphone or tablet. We are always available if you want to have us take care of updates for you though.

Because we use WordPress to build your website, after the initial launch and EVERY single time content is added or updated on your website, WordPress sends out a ping to search engines like Google. Once the new site is loaded to the server you may NOT cancel. If you wish to cancel within the thirty (30) days and you have not made your final payment, you may do so without any obligation to make the final payment. There are no refunds.
